IN-JOY is a revolutionary movement-based experience designed to empower individuals to embody the full spectrum of human emotions with joy and vitality. IN-JOY offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage in dynamic movement practices that facilitate a deeper connection to their inner selves while fostering emotional and physical resilience.

Our workshop is not just about physical fitness; it's about emotional fitness.

Through a combination of sweat-inducing structured movement, expressive dance, and mindful sound & breath, participants are guided to explore their individual emotional landscape with music weaving a collective experience. We believe that by embracing our feelings, we can harness their power as fuel for personal growth and transformation.

At IN-JOY, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and celebrated in their journey towards emotional well-being. Our experienced facilitators provide expert guidance and encouragement, allowing participants to move through all four emotions—joy, sadness, anger, and fear—with grace and confidence.

IN-JOY is an embodiment movement that is not only transforming individual lives, but also revolutionizing our collective relationship with emotions; which is to FEEL.
Because when we are numb to our feelings, we are numb to LIFE!

We are on this beautiful rock floating in space to FEEL, and to experience the ‘joy’ in its full gradient–yes you can be ‘in-joy’ with your anger, grief, and fear! To enjoy life is to be in equanimity with the feelings that move through your body.  

And how do we do that? 

By allowing all of the moments that seemingly “broke” our hearts to open, and reveal their pain.

The pain that lives within you. The pain that is desperate to be expressed, seen, FELT, and witnessed. The pain that you have been conditioned to numb, and keep hidden away because the force of modern society has deemed it so.

Good thing ‘modern society’ is currently under a complete renovation. A renovation of demolition & remodeling of how we do “healing” — that is taking on a new shape, a new design, in which illness or dis-ease can no longer fester.

Who says healing can’t be fun, and done together!

And it is in our ability to take radical responsibility for our own sensory experience– and to use our self-sourced power (our feelings) in order to access more purpose, pleasure, & possibility in our lives.

  • Some of you might have a fear of “Feelings Work” because you have adopted an understanding that makes you afraid of 'being Re-Traumatized'. The concept of 'being Re-Traumatized' can only make sense from the viewpoint of “feelings and emotions are regarded as 'bad' and “are to be avoided”. When you take radical responsibility for your feeling state, you become “un-fuckwithable”— this includes remaining in the ‘victim’-quick-sand of “experiencing trauma” longer than you need to. Your body(s) are (is) desiring to move toward wholeness, which includes being able to “digest” the energy (emotions) that you previously suppressed (for whatever reason, to stay safe, receive love, belong etc).

  • -IN-JOY is: 'a movement based group transformational-change experience that has a start, a middle, and an end' (typically lasting ~90 min)

    -The facilitators will give a brief overview and background of what IN-JOY is about/what to expect, followed by a warm up and intention setting, and then moving into a semi-structured movement process through each of the 4 feelings—Anger, Sadness, Fear, and Joy with each phase open to intuitive movement. [Your body’s need to breathe, sound, and move is the “yellow brick road” of healing]. There will be props such as rags, and tissues etc for emotional processes. There will be space for integration, and “landing” back to stillness.

  • IN-JOY is NOT simply catharsis. Catharsis is to ’release’ the energy of feelings and emotions out of our body–catharsis provides no transformation, simply a release. (which is necessary for specific times). Instead IN-JOY is about ‘Cathexis’ which is the process of containing, recycling, re-aiming, and consciously using Emotional Energies to HEAL.
